EdgeLink Cleaning Sdn Bhd ("EdgeLink", "we", "us") operates the website edgelink.pro and provides cleaning services across Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.

1. Data we collect

We collect only what we need to quote, schedule and deliver a cleaning service:

  • Contact details you submit through our booking form, by phone, or by WhatsApp: name, email address, phone number.
  • Service details: the address of the property to be cleaned, its size and condition, access instructions, and any preferences you share.
  • Billing records: invoices, payment confirmations and outstanding balances. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • Technical data when you browse the site: IP address, browser type and pages viewed, collected through cookies described in our Cookie Policy.

2. How we use it

  • To respond to enquiries and send quotes you have requested.
  • To schedule crews, plan routes and grant them access to the correct property.
  • To invoice, collect payment and keep the accounting records Malaysian law requires.
  • To handle guarantee claims, complaints and insurance matters.
  • With your consent, to send occasional service updates or offers. Every such message includes a way to opt out.

3. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with: (a) our own vetted employees who need it to perform your service; (b) service providers such as payment processors, accounting software and messaging platforms, bound by their own confidentiality obligations; (c) our insurer, if a claim involves your property; and (d) authorities, where the law requires it.

4. Retention

Enquiry data that does not lead to a booking is deleted within 12 months. Client and billing records are kept for 7 years to meet tax and audit obligations, then destroyed. Access instructions (alarm codes, lockbox details) are deleted or returned when a recurring plan ends.

5. Security

Data is stored on access-controlled systems, and crew members see only the job details necessary for their shift. Property access information is stored separately from names wherever practical.

6. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to further processing. Write to [email protected] or to Unit 12-03, Menara Keck Seng, 203 Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. We respond within 21 days.

7. Changes

If we change this policy, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes affecting existing clients will also be notified by email.
